From the Rabbi

Shalom brethren!

In these tough times, we can find the best and most solid words in the scriptures. We can be reminded that believers throughout the ages have faced many difficult and perplexing times.

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our bod.”

(2 Corinthians 4:7-10).

That does not necessarily make it easier for us, but, it can encourage us that our trials are not without precedent. Praying that each of us finds our strength in Messiah throughout these difficult days.

We will again have a “Drive-In” Shabbat service this coming Saturday, April 4, 2020. At the end of this email is information for those that would like to participate through GoToMeeting. There will be no Hebrew Honey class this Saturday.

Passover – We have creative plan. We are calling it our 2020 GoTo Passover Plan. The information is on our website. All our invited; please see website page here.

At Passover we celebrate our freedom from slavery in Egypt and more importantly our freedom from sin through Messiah Y’shua. This year we ask the Holy Spirit to also give us great freedom from fear during these troubled days.

Any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at 847-868-0195 or email at sanctuarymessianic@gmail.com.

Blessings in the always grace of Messiah.

Shabbat and Passover Plan

Shabbat April 4, 2020

“Drive in” Shabbat Service 10:30 AM (Please click this link for more info)

2020 GoTo Passover Plan

In our continuing desire to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with our God (Micah 6:8) especially in this unique time, we have decided on a creative plan to celebrate Passover this year.

The first Passover in Egypt was observed in the homes of the Israelites while a terrible plague afflicted the land of Egypt.

We will be observing Passover in our own homes while a plague is afflicting our land.

All of the community of faith in Egypt lived in the same area; those that observed the seder in their homes had a sense of community with others of like faith. We will be connecting to one another by GoToMeeting during our Passover celebration. Pastor/Rebbe Art will be leading the Passover seder via GoToMeeting from his home.

Everyone interested in “attending” the seder will need to register. You can do so here.

There is no cost to register or participate.

If you have already purchased tickets for the seder – you may request a refund. You will still need to register via the above link.

After registering, we will send you an email with the GoToMeeting link, a pdf copy of the Haggadah and some food and setup information for the seder.

Any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at 847-868-0195 or email at sanctuarymessianic@gmail.com.

Verse of the Day Matthew 20: 17-19

Matthew 20: 17-19“[Jesus Predicts His Death a Third Time] Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!””
