Shavuot Weekend 2014

We had a great Shavuot weekend, and wish you could have joined us!  Here’s a bit of what you missed.

On Saturday, we followed the Torah in a procession, waving a grain offering, in honor of Shavuot.20140607_112831

On Sunday, we had a cookout, lots of chicken, hot dogs, and burgers.   Even some venison!

And of course, dessert.  Smile20140608_154450

After our meal, we listed to a guest speaker, Dr Sam Issmer.  He spoke about his ministry in India, The South Asia Council for Community & Children in Crisis.  It’s a wonderful ministry helping the most needy in rural areas in India.  Please click the link for more information.

Here is Dr Issmer, with our Rabbi Steve.  20140608_190028

It was an amazing and blessed weekend.  Hopefully next time you can be a part of it!

Verse of the Day Matthew 7:13-14

Matthew 7:13-14“[The Narrow and Wide Gates] “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
